Our partnership with the Des Moines Radio Amateurs’ Association (DMRAA.com) continues to raise awareness for the Museum. DMRAA created a radio room in Clayton Hall and has conducted numerous Ham Radio Education classes followed by FCC authorized Ham Radio License Exams, all held at the Museum. Additional classes are held in Clayton Hall on some Thursdays. DMRAA also holds the nation-wide emergency 24-hour preparedness test at the Museum. This year (2022) Field Day will be held on the weekend of June 25th and 26th. This event has been held annually nation-wide since 1933. A number of educational classes and community outreach will be held at the event.
